Fruit medley
Fruit is the perfect snack for a hot summer day, to both cool and hydrate you and your family. Save time and prep your fruit first thing in the morning and mix it all together to create a yummy fruit medley. Be sure to change up which fruits you use each day to avoid getting bored with the flavors!
Avocado toast
Light, yet satisfying—the perfect blend for summertime to hold you over in between meals. We love using Dave’s Killer Bread, toasted and about 1-2 tablespoons of avocado with a dash of pepper or even a little bit of hot sauceif you like things spicier. Special tip; use the back of a spoon to mash the avocado into the toast without destroying the bread.
Pizza kabobs
Kid and adult-friendly, these kabobs can truly be customizedhowever you’d like and can be served cold or toss them on the grill for a couple of minutes. We like to include a mix of pepperoni, cheese cubes, folded triangle of pita, olives or any other ingredients you’d like. These are also great to dip into pizza sauce or with pizza sauce drizzle, and can be dusted with parmesan cheese, basil and oregano.
Apple nachos
A delicious and guilt-free way to indulge! This snack is a play on the traditional nacho but substituting the chips for apples, topped with your choice of toppings like caramel, peanut butter, chocolate or shaved coconut.
Homemade salsa
Fresh-made salsa most definitely trumps salsa that has been sitting in a jar for who knows how long! We love using diced roma tomatoes, onions, chopped cilantro, lime, chilies if you want some heat and a dash of salt to taste. Perfect on top of toasted pita or seeded crackers.
Chocolate almond milk pops
These are sure to be a favorite amongst the kiddos in your life—adults too! We recommend using the make-your-own popsicle trays and Silk Chocolate Almond Milk. Simply pour, let freeze overnight and enjoy the next day.
