In addition to the new Kroger Marketplace currently underway at Hampton Roads Crossing, a new shopping center will be added as well off North Suffolk’s College Drive.
The approximately 100,000-square-foot shopping center would be slightly similar to Harbour View East, located in close proximity to the Hampton Roads Crossing community. A list of tenants and a delivery date may be announced this summer.
Still being the early stages of development, a name for the new shopping center has yet to be decided, but whatever name is selected would include “Hampton Roads Crossing.”
The company’s Mid Atlantic real estate manager, Fenton Childers, said Kroger selected North Suffolk’s College Drive for its new store “because of the exciting growth in that area.”
The Residences at Hampton Roads Crossing is a new home community in Suffolk consisting of single-family, detached homes with large porches and attractive garages set at the rear of the homes so front entryways are welcoming. The central location gives new homebuyers easy access to the Peninsula, downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth’s downtown attractions. Norfolk Naval Base and Langley are also less than 20 minutes away.
Pricing starts in the high 100s to mid $200s for 3 and 4 bedroom homes. The community also has a pool and clubhouse with 24/7 fitness room, a tot lot and walkway around a community lake with fountain.
